Magical Egypt: Episode Four – The Temple in Man
Review of the fouth DVD – The Temple in Man in the Magical Egypt series by Egyptologist John Anthony West.
In the fouth episode John West takes a new and amazing look at the Luxor temple reveals it as an ancient interactive temple of teaching about the metaphysical anatomy of man.
This revelation comes from R. A. Schwaller de Lubics mathematician, philosopher and modern-day alchemist who spent 17 years at Luxor studying and unlocking the biometric secrets encoded in stone.
In the previous episode Decent we were presented with what appeared to be random stone markers and it required acceptance of the mapping and calculations of the association of these by Thomas G. Brophy. This is not the case with The Temple in Man.
This episode more than any of the others brought home to me that there is a lot more to Ancient Egypt than contemporary views of Egyptology suggest.
I watched the eight videos in the series over a two week period but I am now reviewing them from memory a few weeks later.
Magical Egypt: Episode Three – Descent
Review of the third DVD – Descent in the Magical Egypt series by Egyptologist John Anthony West.
In the third episode John West explores what would have appeared to be a random placement of stones for centuries which is now recognised as an accurate map of our Milky Way galaxy along with 23 of its neighbours, also depicting accurate distance to significant stars in the constellation of Orion.
Such ancient knowledge of our universe suggests the “Older Kingdom Still” was either far more sophisticated than previously believed or supports the theory of Alien visitors. Astrophysicist and archeo-astronomer Thomas G. Brophy presents his theory.
I watched the eight videos in the series over a two week period but I am now reviewing them from memory a few weeks later.
Magical Egypt: Episode Two – Old Kingdom and Older Kingdom Still
Review of the second DVD – Old Kingdom and Older Kingdom Still in the Magical Egypt series by Egyptologist John Anthony West.
In the second episode John West continues explore the idea that the Old Kingdom is predated by an even older Kingdom by examining architectural anomalies such as the mysterious Oserion which appears to already have been an ancient ruin when it was “uncovered” by Seti I during the construction of the Temple of Abydos in first Dynasty.
The aging of the Sphinx is another anomaly with a stella in the Cairo museum describing reparations performed by the father of the traditionally credited builder. The connection with Astronomy is also explored with the Sphinx being the sign of Leo putting the possible age at 10,000 to 12,000 thousand years ago or even in the previous precession or age of Leo some 34,000 to 36,000 years ago.
I watched the eight videos in the series over a two week period but I am now reviewing them from memory a few weeks later.
Magical Egypt: Episode One – The Invisible Science
Review of the first DVD – The Invisible Science in the Magical Egypt series by Egyptologist John Anthony West.
In the first episode John West revisits the unexplainable accomplishments of Ancient Egypt suggesting that there may have been an even more Ancient civilization that came before it. The accepted mainstream dating of Ancient Egypt has a sophisticated civilization suddenly appearing out of nowhere with no preceding foundations upon which it was built. What is even more surprising is that John shows that in many ways the old Kingdoms were more sophisticated that later dynasties and rather than evolving Egyptian civilization was in decline. The model is the exact opposite to what any anthropologist would expect to see.
There is also a discussion of the fiboacci number serious present in organic geometry and its presence in the stages of construction of the temple of Karnak – also known as the “House of Life”.
I watched the eight videos in the series over a two week period but I am now reviewing them from memory a few weeks later.
Reviewing Ancient Egypt in Popular Culture
I recently watched the DVD’s series called Magical Egypt by John Anthony West explains but before talking about that lets recap what popular culture in the West knows about Ancient Egypt.
Ancient Egypt has long held a fascination with people in the West and has provided Hollywood with lots of material for horror movies typically featuring 3000 year old mummies fulfilling curses upon anyone that dares to disturb their internal slumber. For most of us Ancient Egypt was about the Pyramids, the Sphinx, strange symbols (hieroglyphics), strange clothes, and very strange ideas about an after-life with the general perception conveyed to us of a primitive and oppressive civilization.
This changed in the early 70s when Erich von Daniken’s book and film Chariots of the Gods?: Unsolved Mysteries of the Past became popular and introduced into the mass conscious of humanity the idea of there being extraterrestrial origins to many of the amazing creations of Ancient civilizations around the world.
Up until then most of us had accepted without question the artist impression in our history books of thousands of slaves hauling the huge stones to build the amazing structures like the pyramids. There may have been foot notes in some books about what an amazing technological feat it was and how it even puzzled modern day engineers but few of us had given it much thought until then.
The next big “Egyptian” thing to surface in popular culture was Pyramid Power with pseudoscientific theories regarding the power pyramids preserve food, sharpen razor blades, improve health, mental ability and enhance sex. While this caught the imagination of many it was relatively short lived as none of the claims could be substantiated under scientific conditions. Pyramid Power polarized views on Ancient Egypt with those already sceptical now convinced it was just silly New Age hocus-pocus.
The extraterrestrial origins of Ancient Egypt were again thrust into popular culture with the release of the Stargate movie in 1994 and ongoing TV series. The basic ideas is that an Alien1 which are devices that enable personal teleportation through wormholes to other locations cosmic distances away.
The New Age movement have also become increasingly interested in Ancient Egypt connecting it to all their theories about the origins of humanity. In addition to some of the wild New Age theories that usually tie everything back to the lost city of Atlantas there has been some scholarly work that if nothing else shows that the Mystery of Ancient Egypt remains totally unsolved and the explanations by mainstream Egyptologists are totally unsatisfactory.
John Anthony West is a maverick Egyptologist challenging mainstream findings and illuminating Ancient Egypt as being far more advanced than ever before believed.
In his 8 video series Magical Egypt he explores a mysteries aspect of Ancient Egypt and suggests some alternative theories. Each DVD runs for about an hour and is too much to cover in one post so I will review each episode separately identifying what I remember to be the key points.

The Doorway into NOW – Eckhart Tolle
By accepting what is you become bigger than what is.
Eckhart Tolle is a spiritual teacher, public speaker and author of the #1 New York Times bestseller The Power of Now which has been translated into 33 languages.
This was my first encounter with the material of Eckhart Tolle and I had no idea what to expect. I had no background knowledge and therefore no preconceived ideas.
One has to be curious to watch through the first twenty minutes of this video as he intentionally employs long periods of awkward silence while introducing the concept of time being an illusion and an aspect of the world of form (the physical world). There is no past or future except as thought concept – there is just now.
Most people live only in the time bound state of consciousness trapped in the surface dimension of life and can never find happiness or a sense of fulfilment. Their minds are continually producing thoughts and most people have come to identify themselves as those thoughts made up of all their past experiences including both failings and achievements. This identity model gives the mind complete control over a person’s life condemning them to continual frustration.
Eckhart believes we are missing the real essence of who we are. He advocates moving out of a time bound state of consciousness in a Timeless dimension of consciousness which he describes as an awakening process. In doing so you find out that “who you are, at the most fundamental level, is deeper than any thought.”
This is achieved by quietening the judgemental mind and perceiving it as only a tool to enable one to interact in the world of form. You then move into as state of awareness of your physical being in the present moment accepting whatever reality presents itself in the world of form.
This does not mean accepting and surrendering to undesirable circumstances but rather the recognition of what is, as most of the time our minds resit and protests against what is. By accepting we gain the power to create in a world of infinite possibilities. “By accepting what is you become bigger than what is.”
